HES 209 History & Philosophy of Health, Physical Education, and Sport

Course Description

This course is designed to provide an understanding of and appreciation for the significant purpose and place of health, physical education, and sport in society. Emphasis is placed on the philosophical and sociological heritage of health, physical education, and sport, including basic concepts, problems, and issues of each in the development of our profession. This course is required for HPE majors and Coaching minors, but open to any student interested in learning more about the field of Kinesiology. HUMN, Fall semester.
