MCS 189 Introduction to Data
Course Description
This course serves as an introduction to the data science principles required to tackle real-world, data-rich problems in business and in academia. Students will learn to implement fundamental data structures, which allow one to store collections of data with fast updates and queries. They will be given an introduction on artificial intelligence and machine learning. Finally, they will study the capturing, digitization, representation, organization, transformation, and presentation of information in database systems. Prerequisite: MCS-177. Fall semester.
