B/E 150 Applied Business Analytics

Course Description

There is more data available now than at any time in history. Businesses thrive and falter based on their ability to use the data to create useful insights. This course will use a "hands-on" approach to critically analyze and understand data, transform data into information, and then use this knowledge to help manage operations and make informed business decisions. Students will get experience in data management, using analytical tools to define both questions and answers, creating visualizations and effective presentations, and business application decisions based on insights. The course will also expose students to current and future trends in data analytics and tools, big data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Fall and Spring semesters.
