Course Description

Applied Human Nutrition. This course emphasizes basic nutritional principles and concepts, their application to personal health and the relationship between food and its use by the human body for energy, regulation, structure, and optimal health. Discussion of issues in nutrition during various stages of the life cycle and specific chronic diseases will be addressed. This course is required for all Exercise Physiology and Health & Physical Education majors. This course will not satisfy the Nutrition requirement for the Nursing major. HBSI, Fall and Spring semesters.
