HIS 350 South Africa and Apartheid

Course Description

This 300-level history course traces the origins, establishment, experiences, protests, and the end of the apartheid regime in South Africa. Students will read primary texts, secondary history books, and watch a documentary film to learn about multiple perspectives on the history of apartheid. Each student will do individual research on a topic on the history of apartheid. This course counts toward African/African Diaspora Studies minor. Prerequisites: HIS-299 or AFS-190, Spring semester, even years.
