Description
Business analytics is the process of using data analysis and statistical techniques to make informed business decisions. It involves collecting, processing, and analyzing data to uncover insights, trends, and patterns that guide an organization's strategies, improve operations, and drive better decision-making. Business analytics encompasses a range of methods and tools to turn raw data into actionable information. Business analytics is used across various industries and functional areas, including marketing, finance, supply chain management, human resources, education and more. It helps organizations gain a competitive advantage, improve efficiency, enhance customer experiences, reduce risks, and adapt to changing market conditions by harnessing the power of data and analytics techniques. Minor in Business Analytics is a carefully designed blend of courses drawn from the Business and Economics Department and the Mathematics, Computer Science and Statistics Department. This unique interdisciplinary curriculum will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of modern business operations and the computational tools necessary for informed decision-making.
Due to the overlap in course requirements, you may not minor in both Statistics and Business Analytics. You must choose one or the other, not both.
