EAS 253 Vampires Russian & East European Cultures

Course Description

Vampires in Russian and East European Cultures: The major goal of this course is to improve the student?s abilities in writing various types of compositions, including essays, correspondence, and presentations to a variety of audiences. Texts ? both print and non-print media ? will be drawn from Russian and other East European sources. Participants will be asked to separate historical fact from popular fiction, and form opinions about the place of the vampire myth in various cultures. WRITL, Fall semester, even years.
