Description
The Accounting Major at Gustavus is a rigourous combination of accounting and business courses designed to meet the educational course requirements to be eligible to take the Certified Public Accountant exam in the state of Minnesota. The goal of this major is to to provide the academic background necessary for students who wish to pursue professional positions in either public accounting or private businesses. Additional credit hours are necessary, however, to meet the current 150 semester hour requirement to be licensed as a CPA in Minnesota. Students who anticipate CPA licensure in other states should check with that state's board of accountancy for program equivalency information.
