Description
Psychological science challenges generalizations, encourages objectivity, and provides a methodology that can be used to analyze and synthesize propositions about behavior and mental processes. The psychological science major is intended to introduce students to the factual base that constitutes what is known about behavior in humans and other organisms and to the theoretical approaches used to organize and explain these observations. The major requires a minimum of 10 courses in the Psychological Science Department that will be planned between a student and faculty advisor to achieve breadth and depth that is appropriate for the student's goals.
