Description

The BA in Theatre Performance consists of a sequence of practice-based courses designed to provide students with the opportunity to master technique and collaborative skills by developing a creative praxis that is based on research and embodied exploration. The degree requirements are organized into four interdependent areas of inquiry. First, the foundational requirements or core courses in which students explore the areas of the theatre making process from different perspectives (T/D 103, T/D 106, T/D 125 and T/D 205). Second, four credits in Production requirements in which students, using the tools acquired in all other courses, develop a consistent practice on our mainstage season. Third, eight credits in the performance core, devoted to mastering performance techniques, complemented by 8 credits in Theatre electives chosen in consultation with the major’s advisor.
